WOOP the whos of your holidays

You’re not literally WOOPing your family and friends, of course. You can’t change them and it would be foolish to try. This is about changing your reactions around your family and friends, so you make it more likely that you stick to your plans. Ask yourself:

  1. Who are the people whose presence or absence challenges you the most?
  2. What is it they do that is so annoying? Does your reaction help? What would an ideal relationship with these people look like?
  3. What are the immediate situations or behaviours with that person (or people) that trigger you emotionally?
  4. What will you do immediately to make sure you don’t drink when that happens? What are you going to do towards the longer term goal to achieve your wish?
