WOOP the whens of your holidays

Your reflections are beginning to give you useful information about when you drank, when you didn’t drink and when you felt triggered to drink. And there may be other times that you remember. As you think back, be honest and brave.

The time you put into drinking might well surprise you, but remember to be kind to yourself. The only thing you’re doing now is noticing what happened when.

We can’t change the past, but we can act differently in this present moment. We’re here to survive, thrive and revive over the holiday season, after all. Each of the events you’ve considered so far, if you encounter it again, give you an opportunity create or sustain change. You can do things differently .

Knowing what you know now, what can you start, stop or do differently?

Think about an event you have coming up, where you would have previously had a few drinks, and think about what your best possible outcome for the occasion would be in terms of your drinking? What will you do? How will it feel to be successful?
