Mindfulness matters

Being mindful allows us to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, without being overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. The ability to be mindful is something we all naturally possess, and we can make it more readily available to us by practicing being mindful.

Whenever we bring our awareness to what we’re directly experiencing through our senses, or to our state of mind by becoming aware of our feelings and emotions, we are being mindful.

At first sight, mindfulness and drinking look like they occupy completely different domains of life. But there’s much to be gained by bringing them together. In this lesson, you’ll discover the core principles of mindful drinking, and discover why it’s important to give yourself some breathing space.
